Porto Fluviale is one of the new bets of the city, flourished as industrial area from the end of ‘800, and then completely abandoned in the ’50s, following the progressive abandonment of rail and river transports. Ponte di Ferro (the Iron Bridge), the Gasometer and the Montemartini old powerplant dominate the scene, Eataly brings back to life the old Air Terminal, offering four floors of Italian culinary excellences, to buy or taste on the spot. From the apartment with a short walk you reach the heart of Trastevere and Testaccio, within 15 minutes by tram you can reach Piazza Venezia and within 20 minutes on the metro, we are at the Colosseum.
